Chef Chris Bennett is the culinary force behind Restaurant 1793, bringing refined technique, seasonal creativity, and a deep respect for ingredients to every dish. Chris began his professional career in carpentry before pursuing his true passion for the culinary arts, where he quickly distinguished himself through discipline, creativity, and a deep commitment to his craft.
Chris pursued formal training at the Institute of Culinary Education in downtown Manhattan, where he developed a strong foundation in classical technique. From there, he honed his craft in some of the Philadelphia region’s most respected fine dining restaurants and private clubs, including the Union League of Philadelphia under Executive Chef Denny Santiago and most recently June BYOB under Chef Richard Cusack in Collingswood, NJ.
Chris’s cuisine blends modern American flavors with regional influences, focusing on thoughtfully sourced ingredients and elevated yet approachable presentations. His vision for Restaurant 1793 is to deliver chef-driven dining experiences that rival the finest restaurants of Philadelphia and New York, right in South Jersey.
Victoria Bennett brings a unique blend of hospitality expertise and digital marketing leadership to Restaurant 1793. With a professional background managing digital strategy for Fortune 500 companies and highly profitable private brands, Victoria oversees the business and brand operations with a focus on excellence, growth, and guest experience. Her roots in hospitality run deep, having worked extensively in front-of-house roles and restaurant management in New Jersey’s Long Beach Island.
